What does the workshop cover?
As well as covering the safety management theory and the regulatory requirements of an SMS system, this workshop also helps organisations to plan their implementation and shape their own SMS processes. Starting with each of the SMS pillars, the workshop looks at what each of the key components is, and then through a number of exercises, helps the attendees to start to map out suitable processes that will form the basis for their SMS procedures.
By combining the regulatory requirements, industry best practice and your organisations own needs, attendees will end up with robust set of processes which they can implement into their company on completion of this training.
Course attendees are provided with a simple gap analysis tool to use through the training, to identify areas where they already have suitable processes in place, areas that require updating and improving, and areas that are missing. The results from this simple analysis can be used to form a to-do list when the course is finished.

- Session 1: Safety post holder online session - To tailor the course content to the needs of their safety team and to customise content to cover any existing SMS processes
- Session 2: Face to face 2-day training workshop with relevant post holders
- Session 3 (Optional) - On site SMS implementation assessment
After the training workshops, we remain in contact with your organisation to check on how the implementation is working, and to make any changes to the tool, based on your organisations feedback
What does this workshop cost?
We charge a fixed price for this course delivery, which covers up to 15 people per course. We don't charge any extra for printing, travel or accommodation expenses*, meaning the price you see is what you pay.
